ShineLight Connect Foundation

ShineLight Connect Foundation exists to help fund those who do not qualify for standard services through Medicaid, to be able to receive select services through providing funding.

At ShineLight Connect we honor community, inclusivity, and opportunity through bridging the gap in services for individuals with ASD in the larger Fayetteville Area. We understand the need and seek to serve families in pursuit of select services.

Executive Director and Founder Nikki Giovanni Creecy

Starting ShineLight Connect Foundation is important to Nikki because she is a firm believer in community and that we all deserve equal opportunities. Through her 16 years of experience at ShineLight,Inc., assisting children, youth, and adults with autism to lead better lives, she has witnessed firsthand how there are not enoughMedicaid funds for everyone who qualifies for services. ​

"I have encountered too many times when adults with autism simply cannot receive the support they need to live their best lives,” Nikki says, “I believe that helping one family at a time is the most powerful way to build community, and so the best way to improve the Fayetteville community is to grant funding to families who need it the most.”

Frequently Asked Questions

ShineLight Connect Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides funding for people with ASD that either lack insurance or are under insured. We aim to make sure people have access to the specialized services necessary to support them to accomplish their definition of a quality life.

Our MISSION is to bridge the financial and information gap between individuals with autism and available services through financial assistance, advocacy, and education in the larger Fayetteville area.

Our VISION is for every individual with autism-spectrum disorders in the larger Fayetteville area to have equal access to quality service programs to best ensure community, inclusivity, and opportunity for all.

Please first complete and submit our online survey so we can document what you need and see if our services are the right fit. We are applying for multiple grants for a variety of service areas. Once we have funding for the service area your loved one needs, we will be ready with your contact information.
ShineLight Connect Foundation provides funding for select services and partners with local and national programs to implement those services, including ShineLight Inc. Services include:

We are following all the CDC and state guidelines.

Shinelight, Inc. offers support services and education to individuals who qualify for the NC Medicaid waiver. The ShineLight Connect Foundation bridges the GAP and helps to provide funding for services for those who either lack insurance, are under insured or do not qualify for the NC Medicaid waiver. People we support through this Foundation can get ShineLight services and supports, or choose another provider in their area.
If you qualify for services through ShineLight Connect Foundation, you do not have to go through ShineLight, Inc. It is also true that if you qualify for services through with ShineLight, Inc., it does not require that you access ShineLight Connect Foundation. They are separate entities who work in partnership.
